Project Description:
JOHNSON & JOHNSON (J & J) was one of the leading pharmaceutical company. Codman is a group of this J &J company. This project was initially kicked off as a migration of reports from Cognos 7 series to Cognos 8. But the client needed few alterations in the reports. So the project then started as a development project. Reports were generated on varios categories like Sales vs Objective (SVO), Monthly and Daily basis, Business Reporting.
Specifications were given to the developers which had the report layout and query that generated the reports. These requirements were gathered by my onsite lead.
Responsibilities carried out:
o Was involved in the model creation in Framework Manager.
o Created relationships, cardinalities and calculations at the FWM level to satisfy the given query.
o Developed complex reports which involved creation of many queries and joining them at the Report Studio level.

Title : DB- FSR Rollout.
Client : Deutsche Bank, Singapore

Project Description:
Deutsche Bank is one of the world's leading financial service providers. Rollout of FSR happened for Honk Kong, Korea, Indonesia and Singapore. It is an Onsite-Offshore model of development project we have developed around 550 reports using cognos Report studio and few query studio reports. Reports has been developed in the Dev environment and after the quality process reports has been moved to the QA and PROD successfully.
The functional design documents provided by the client, Deutsche Bank, were presented in Excel format. The same was then replicated in Report Studio. A concept called Cell Based reporting was followed in which a data item is assigned only one value at which it is placed. This is called RFP (Report Form Position). The value against the RFP is stored in the source database i.e. SAP BW. Cognos picks up the values against the RFP from BW and populates the values for that particular position. A share point was maintained from where the defects raised by the users were taken and then fixed based on the priority. Versioning of the reports were to be maintained to make sure that the last updated report was worked upon the defects. This last updated report was then used for migration to the corresponding environment.
Responsibilities carried out:
o A total of 190 Indonesian reports were handled.
o Tested, validated and migrated the reports to different environments during the implementation phase at onsite (Singapore).
o Fixing the defects as per the priority and updating the same in the share point.
o Change Request for all the regions were handled effectively.

Project Description:
* Created Metadata models from the DWH ORACLE database schema.
* Developed models using star schema grouping.
* Created short-cuts to resolve some join issues.
* Created folder structure and namespace to maintain Database view and presentation view.
* Developed Report design specification for few reports.
* Created list and cross-tab reports as per report design spec.
* Created two dashboards based on the given reports as per requirements using ReportStudio.

Project Description:
* We have moved the source data to staging area database using SQLSERVER scripts.
* From staging area to DWH SQLSERVER database we used sort, merge, and join, aggregate transformations using SSIS.
* We have designed the Metadata model using star schema using SSAS.
* We rectified some join issues in the model.
* Created four cubes using SSAS.
* Created reports like list, cross-tab, charts using SSRS.
* Used some of the features like Drill-through, KPI, drill-down and conditional-formatting using SSRS.
* Created reports are scheduled as per the given frequency period.
